This site is god damned hilarious.

Lots has been happening at work. First off, they made me employee of the month for March, because I "kicked Ryan's ass in plan sales". Ryan being the sales manager, plans being service/protection plans (extended warranties basically), the most important factor in my job. It's kinda sad, I work 30 hours a week, yet I beat out a person who works 50 hours a week and whose sole job is to sell plans and be good enough at selling them to coach and teach everyone else to sell them.
Second, the one asshole that works there that everybody hates, quit. And not only is everyone happy that he is gone, but he was occupying a full-time position. Guess who got said position? Yep, yours truly. The only drawback is that the position is in the furniture department, although I will still mostly be working in computers until they get enough people in that department. I would rather stay in the computers department, because it's what I do, it's what I enjoy. But it does have a positive side to it, I don't have to deal with customers and their stupid computer problems anymore. But I'm just damn glad to be full-time now....yay for benefits.

Oh yeah, and I've got my new website up: RockFury.net. Go...now...come back everyday...sign up for newsletter...

Been awhile, eh? Yeah, I'm lazy. Well, that and I've either been working on my new website, which I just registered the domain for so it should be ready to go real soon, or playing High Heat Baseball 2004, which is a great game if you're a baseball fan.

So anyway, Holly and I had plans to go get a cabin or a bed & breakfast type room with a jacuzzi in it, just to get away and relax for a day or two....but we've just been too busy to go through with it, so we're just getting a jacuzzi room at the local Comfort Inn tomorrow night. It's not what we had planned, but hey, you can never go wrong when you've got a jacuzzi.

Work sucks right now. This time of year is always the slowest time of the year in the retail office supplies/electronics industry, but when you combine the recent warm weather and the war on tv, people just aren't shopping. So since I'm still not full time, I don't have guaranteed 40 hours a week, yet I usually work close to 40 hours a week. So when business is slow, whose hours get cut? The person who has the most hours but they don't have to give them to him. So this week I'm stuck working 4-9 all but one day. Those are fucking newbie hours! I haven't worked a week with hours like that since the first year I was there. BLARGH! That's what I have to say about that. Oh well, I may be getting full-time soon though

Oh, and do not click here. It's very addicting. You will waste hours. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Jesus Christ I have the worst luck with cars. Two weeks after getting my car back with a new engine in it, I go to start it yesterday morning to go to class and....nothing. Nothing at all happens. It looks like the starter went bad. Same thing that happened to Holly's car a couple months ago. Feh to cars.

Whoooo! I just found out the In Flames, Mudvayne and Ministry tour is coming here on March 19th. Ministry, eh, I've always been intrigued by them, but never got too much into their music. Mudvayne, I love, but not enough to go to a concert to see them....already seen 'em twice. But In Flames, I could never get sick of seeing them. This will be my third time, but the first time in over 2 years, so I'm quite anxious. I only wish they were headlining so they'd get to play a full set. Oh well, overall it'll be an amazing show.

Anyway. You know what I really hate that customers do? This happened like 3 times today. I walk up to them and ask them if they need any help and they say 'No, I'm just sort of looking.....' So I start to say 'Ok' and walk away, and they continue with 'Do you know....blah blah' Agh! Why the hell did you say you were just looking and didn't need any help when, in fact, you DID need help?! Just one of the many things that customers do that piss me off. And yes, this will be my ventilation, so get used to it.

So, I got my new motherboard the other day, an Asus A7N8X for you geeks out there. Along with my Athlon XP 1700+ I got a couple weeks ago, which is now overclocked to a 2300+, my system is downright filthy.

I was going to put my old Thunderbird 1.4 in my old Asus A7V266 board and use that as our second (Holly's) computer and finally get rid of our slow as hell, yet incredibly reliable Celeron 466. So I drop the processor on the board and hook a power supply up to it to make sure it's going to work. Well, it doesn't. I get nothing on the screen. I think 'Hmmmm'. Then I start to smell burning...uh oh.....as I go to reach for the power cord, I hear a loud pop. Shit. So, I take the heatsink off the processor, and lo and behold, there's a crack down the side of it. Oh well, I guess we're still stuck with only one good system.

Oh yeah, Holly and I are going out for a day on the town today. First on the agenda: Daredevil, then dinner, then shopping...for a new engangement ring and any other various goodies we spot. I love tax refunds.

Well well well, here it is. After a year of procrastinating, I finally started my livejournal. I figure since I only update my site every 3 months, this would be a good place for me to post my thoughts or vent without feeling that I need to actually update something on my site to post something on the main/news page.

Of course, I don't actually have anything to say right now, so feh, check back later.
